Where do you stand?
As proposed previously we have now taken all your questions and emailed them to the Southside Electoral Candidates listed for Central, South, South West Glasgow. (A list of all the questions sent are in the comments on this post.)

Can you give us a very short intro about who you are?
If you could make one change to the Southside what would it be?
How can we improve the integration of the Southsides many cultures?
What do you think of the M74 extension, how can we ensure it doesn't fracture the Southside and city centre like the M8 has to the west?
What improvement can we expect for pedestrians/ cyclists walking to and from the City Centre?
How can the connections between the City Centre and the East and West be improved?
What are your opinions on the bus depot/ supermarket proposals at Larkfield and why?
What should happen (in an ideal world) to the Shawlands Arcade?
What can be done to help the small independent local shops and the local high streets in general?

How many of the candidates are going to go along to the meeting today about the Larkfield depot? Want to know where they stand on the Supermarket proposal. In the longer term it can be nothing but destructive to the area. Even the 400 jobs "created" are not enough compensation for the overall affect on the govanhill area.
We've recieved a couple of full responces already and a couple of aknowledgements with a promise of answers to follow soon.
