New Shows at Eastwood Theatre

Eastwood Park Theatre got in touch, this week, to tell us about a couple of new shows which will be taking place at Eastwood Park.

For the little people there is Wonderland  a 45 minute interactive Christmas show specially created for 3-6 year olds with puppets, original music and songs.
Join Max on a big adventure as he learns how to skate and meets new friends including Santa’s ninja elf and Jackie the bird!
There are shows on at 10.30am and 1.30pm each day (13-15th January) and tickets are £4 Contact the box office on 0141 577 4970
The following weekend (18-22nd January) Glasgow Music Theatre is  bringing West Side Story to Eastwood Park Theatre.
This savage retelling of Romeo and Juliet concerns an American boy and a Puerto Rican girl, caught in the cross-fire of gang warfare in a New York slum. A feast for the eyes, ears and heart, West Side Story features Bernstein's unforgettable songs: 'Tonight', 'Maria', 'I Feel Pretty' and 'America'. This urban love story is now regarded as a masterpiece of musical theatre.
GMT'S production of West Side Story moves away from the sanitised movie version of the show and redresses the balance between the Jets and the Sharks. There's no good versus evil, no right versus wrong, just damaged young people seething with hate, fear and prejudice.
Featuring exhilarating choreography for some of Glasgow's finest dancers, this production replaces Broadway glitz with gritty gang warfare as the very best of Glasgow's talent performs this Broadway classic as you've never seen it before.
7.30pm each evening
2.30pm Saturday matinee
Full price - £12.50
Concession - £9.50 (under 16s, students, senior citizens and unemployed)
