What a wonderful weekend

This Christmas, Albert Drive Studios are hosting what sounds like it will be a wonderful weekend of shopping, fun and food.

"Situated in the heart of Pollokshields in the Southside of Glasgow, Albert Drive Studios is a beautiful and charming Victorian Villa that is home to a variety of creative practictioners who will all be opening their studio doors to the public to take part in this truly unique event.

Jennie Lööf Clothes, Laura Spring and Patricia Berry Millinery will all be selling products that they design and make on the premises, from one-off pieces of fairytale clothing to hand printed bags to lovely, hand-made hats.

Joining them in opening their doors will be Edo Architecture and Vox Motus and the talented team behind “Dining at Albert Drive” also know as Hilary and Eta. They will be hosting a special pop-up cafe for the weekend serving some of the finest home made sweet and savoury refreshments in Glasgow.

In order to make this a Christmas shopping event not to be missed, a hand-picked selection of local designers have been invited to host their own stalls in the beautiful attic room. Expect to see stalls from such talents as Betty Spoke, Alan Gallacher, Hole in my Pocket, Tessa Dunlop, Eat Haggis and Ceilidh On and Karen Hepburn who will be selling all sorts of lovely treats from screen printed cards to cashmere scarves to hand painted russian dolls.

At 6pm on the Saturday evening, the attic room will be transformed from market space into a stage and the next level of the wonderful weekend will commence with an open mic night. This will run from 6-10pm. (Please note - the open mic night will be free, but ticketed so contact whatawonderfulweekend@gmail.com to arrange your ticket)."
