Sub Rosa @ the Citizens
SUB ROSA
Written & Directed by David Leddy
A gothic Victorian promenade show through the secret backstage spaces of the Citizens Theatre.Out of the shadows comes a motley crew of sopranos, hoofers, chorines and wig-masters. They tell a haunting, mournful and darkly comic tale of yet another chorus girl burning to death beneath the stage while the show carried on above her head. Can somebody put a stop to these incidents? Will there be a bloodthirsty coup or a red velvet revolution? The management are literally getting away with murder...

Hi, thanks for posting about Sub Rosa. Here's a wee link if you want to book online: http://purchase.tickets.com/buy/TicketPurchase?agency=CITIZENS&organ_val=2897&schedule=list&event_val=0822
By the way if anyone read the Herald Society article about Sub Rosa at the weekend, I thought I should point out that it was in fact a bear tamer who was killed by his bear in Dressing Room 7 at the Citz...not a lion tamer and his lion. Sometimes the truth is stranger...
To find out all the other cool stories about the Citizens Theatre you can come to the Doors Open Day, but that's not til September!!
