I love it the way it is - but I'd quite like some lists for easy reference when you're looking for something to do: For example : The ten best Southside Breakfasts, Five things to do in the Southside in March, Southside hairdressers reviewed, Rainy Day Activities in the Southside.

Also I think for all those training for the women's 10k suggested running routes in the area would be good.

I'd like to see more about health and fitness things. I go to Rock Aerobics at Langside Hall on Tuesday nights at 8pm (which could do with a numbers boost)and am looking for more ways to exercise without going to the gym!

Guest reviews would be good. I'm looking for a good hairdresser in southsise but would be good if I could get a personal recommendation first. Apart from that the website is a great resource! Keep on keeping on :)

I'd like to know more about the different villages in the Southside. Something about places with odd names like Crossmyloof, Battlefield etc?

I'd like to read more historical stories about the different places (Govanhill, Battlefield, The Queens Park...) in the south. It would be great.

You should have a Best of List: i.e. Best Places for brunch; best places for THE BEST coffee; best places for fish n' chips; best places for a burger, etc.

Also, you should have polls and allow readers to vote for the best places too.

I'd like to know more about famous southsiders, with the corresponding walks to find key places in their lives. You know, like RD Laing's birthplace and all that... Great site as it is, though.

I think the site is great;

User reviews would be good, or a ratings system where the highest rated places could then go into a 'best of' list

I love reading about new places opening - like Cookie and reading strange happenings like the pigeon man!
Kepp up the good work - if you want some best of lists we should send some in!!

Hello. I would like to see more contributions from readers - perhaps in the form of guest posts, or perhaps just some open posts inviting peoples suggestions on a theme - eg. 'Favourite places for a quiet pint' or 'Most bizarre things seen or heard on Allison Street'!

we've been living in Shawlands for a couple of years now, but it's taking us a while to explore to explore beyond the centre. I'd like to see more about cafes/restaurants/shops worth a visit in the Southside and heads up on local events - we found out about a ceilidh at Langside Hall recently, but it was too late too late for us to go. Stuff like that would be great.

Hi SSH. I would like a link direct to your website at the end of each of your news postings on facebook if possible. Maybe a little map on your website would be useful too to show location of events.

Perhaps a guide to what's going on in the Southside musically would e good...I know of a few club nights such as Little League and i-Bop, plus there are loads of good bands either playing in or coming from South of the Clyde. Apart from that, keep up the good work, its a great site

As I walk around the Southside I'd like to see some Southside Happenings stickers on Cafe/shops/restaurant doors etc so that I know what's good and what you recommend. Love the site by the way

1) a map might be a useful addition - not sure if Google Map Maker might work to allow users to map the area
2) user photos and comments on blogs that you have written
3) a picture of you two bloggers!
Apart from that all is good - love the site - keep up the good work!

Hi,

I love the site by the way. But I woudln't mind a calendar at the top of the page, so that when you click on the days you can see what is happening.

Keep up the good work!

As a soon to be southsider I'd say it's a great resource for getting a feel for what's happening. I'd second (or third) the call for a google type map with the blog entries linked. Otherwise more of the same please!

It would be great if you could suggest ways of meeting people on the South Side. I'm going to be new there very soon, so any local groups looking for members or meet and greets would be great to know about!

It would be brilliant if you did restaurant reviews so we know the best places to eat around the Southside.

I love what you're doing here, it's a great idea! I'd really like to see a feature on best places to go for a bit of quiet. It's great to have so many bars/cakes/restaurants/shops, but sometimes you just want a moment of quiet contemplation.
