Best butchers is definitely Cranstons the butchers on Nithsdale Road, Pollokshields. If you are making a special journey into the Shields to go there, then head down to the Fish People at Shields Road Subway because they are the best fishmongers too

... And the Country Shop on Allison Street, just next to Greggs. Also there is a really good butcher on Nithsdale Road - Willie Cranston I think it's called.

I always use one of the halal butchers in Allison street. Their Lamb chops are amazing. I cook them African style In a tomato and chilli sauce and serve with rice.

The butchers on minard road is cracking. Particularly like their chili burgers and favoured chops. Just started doing their own cured Bacon which was great as well

The Country Shop in Allison Street at Victoria Road beside Greggs. Their meat is amazing and their Steak Pies are awesome. Always a big queue when you go in, very popular.

Now that is a lot of tasty meat. We'll have to work out some way to do a post about all these great places. It would seem that a little map may be in order.
